Barton 1792 Distillery

The Barton 1792 Distillery is the oldest fully-operational distillery in Bardstown. It was founded in 1879 and was initially called the Tom Moore Distillery. It was renamed the Barton Distillery in 1944 after Oscar Getz had taken over the company. Since 2009, the distillery has been known as The Barton 1792 Distillery, named after the year Kentucky joined the United States.
