Château de Pomès Pébérère Distillery

Château de Pomès Pébérère is a domain in Ténarèze, one of the three Armagnac plantation areas (terroirs) in the southwest of France. Armagnac is the oldest wine distillate made in France. It has been made since 1200 – that’s 200 years earlier than brandy! The Château de Pomès Pébérère domain was built in the 15th century, and came into the possession of the current owners, the Faget family, in 1820. An Alembic still was used, as is customary for Armagnac.
