Highland Park Distillery

Highland Park is one of the two whisky distilleries on the Orkney Islands, and the most northerly-located distillery in Scotland. It was founded at the end of the 18th century by beadle and illicit distiller Magnus Eunson. Magnus was later arrested, and the distillery was taken over by a syndicate which, ironically, included Magnus’ arresting officer John Roberston. Highland Park received a license to distill whisky in 1826.
