Old Crow Distillery

In the 1830s, Scottish immigrant James C. Crow started distilling whiskey in Frankfort, Kentucky. While the original distillation formula died with James Crow, the Old Crow brand grew into one of the largest bourbon brands in the 20th century. Jim Beam acquired parent company National Distillers in 1987, and the original Old Crow recipe and distillery were abandoned.
