The 1792 – 225th Anniversary Bourbon is a rare find from 2017, when the state of Kentucky celebrated its 225th anniversary. The proof (exactly 92.15) is a nod to the year 1792 and to Kentucky being the 15th state that joined the USA. The fancy blue neck band on the bottle and back are a salute to the official seal of the state of Kentucky. This is the 6th limited edition release of 1792 Bourbon expressions, the 225th Anniversary Bourbon joins these previous releases: High Rye, Sweet Wheat, Port Finish, Single Barrel and Full Proof Bourbons, of which the latter was recently awarded Best Whisky of the World by whisky-writer Jim Murray
