Since 1879, the Aberlour distillery has been making subtle and elegant whiskies in its namesake Speyside village. The whisky’s character is shaped by two fundamental ingredients: pure spring water from the nearby Ben Rinnes, and locally sourced barley grown within 15 miles of the distillery. Aberlour 14 Years Old Double Cask Matured is a unique single malt that aged for 14 years in American oak and Spanish sherry casks, before being paired together to create just the right balance of sweet blackberry and spice. The nose is well-balanced with sweet vanilla and ripe cherry. The palate is round and smooth with notes of soft caramel, blackberry jam and subtle spice, leading to a rich creamy finish.
