Chivas Brothers is Pernod Ricard’s Scotch whisky arm, owning thirteen distilleries all across Scotland. Each year they release the limited-edition Distillery Reserve Collection series, featuring vintage single malts from their distilleries. These whiskies are initially exclusively available at the particular distillery’s visitor centre. Aberlour Cask 7336 is a 20-year-old single malt. It was distilled on 10 December 1998 and matured in second-fill butt #7336 before being bottled on 7 May 2019 at a cask strength of 52%. The Aberlour distillery is located in the heart of Speyside, where the Lour stream joins the River Spey. In ancient times, this stream and its surrounding nature were believed to be magical. Only 816 bottles of Aberlour 20 Years Old Distillery Reserve Collection Cask 7336 1998 were released.
