Agitator Chestnut Cask is a vacuum-distilled single malt whisky that has been aged in chestnut casks. Chestnut casks are secretly known to be amazing for aging whisky, yet this cask type is forbidden in some places such as Scotland. But the innovative Agitator distillery in Arboga, Sweden prioritizes science over tradition and likes to experiment with a diverse range of wood types instead of limiting themselves to oak. The soft chestnut wood imparts flavours faster into the maturing whisky and creates a distinct flavour profile. Agitator Chestnut Cask offers aromas of dried fruit, sweet raisin and red berries. Roasted chestnuts, leather, honey, vanilla and a slight smokiness develop on the palate of this unique whisky.
