About the Alberta Springs 1969 Canadian Whisky
Alberta Springs is a vintage Canadian Whisky, produced in the 1960s by Alberta Distillers. Alberta Distillers was founded in 1946 by oil magnate Frank McMahon and rancher Max Bell. Because they didn’t know much about distilling whisky, they started to work together with the successful distiller George Reifel, who helped them grow the company. Located on the outskirts of Calgary, Alberta Distillers is the largest producer of rye whisky in the world. The distillery is currently owned by Beam Suntory.
