About the Allt-A-Bhainne 20 Years Old Signatory Vintage 2000
A 20-year-old single malt from the Allt-A-Bhainne distillery in Speyside, bottled by the renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage for the Cask Strength Collection. The whisky was distilled on 26 July 2000 and first matured in hogsheads. It was then finished in a fresh sherry butt for 8 months and bottled in April 2021 at a cask strength of 52.4%. Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew and Bryan Symington. The original idea was that each bottle would be signed by a famous name in the whisky industry, hence the ‘signatory’. They never went through with that plan, but the name stuck. Signatory Vintage has an extensive range of exceptional whiskies from all over Scotland. Since 2002, the company owns the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry. Only 703 bottles of Allt-A-Bhainne 20 Years Old Signatory Vintage 2000 have been released.
