Do not confuse the Amrut Spectrum 004 with evil corporation Spectre, which haunts James Bond in books and films. The name and the logo of this Indian single malt do refer to the spy, but the 004 in the name actually refers to the four types of wood this whisky finished in. The Amrut Spectrum is a hybrid cask made of Oloroso Sherry oak staves, Pedro Ximenéz Sherry oak staves, new French oak and new American oak. That’s pretty neat. Another cool Amrut? This 8 year old Greedy Angels – Chairman’s Reserve!
