AnCnoc 22 Years Old is a well-matured single malt from the Speyside distillery Knockdhu. It aged in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish oak ex-sherry butts, creating a rich and complex character. The whisky is sweet and spicy on the nose with aromas of honey, toffee and warm Christmas cake, complemented by fresh notes of lemons, green apples and cut flowers and a hint of delicate wood smoke. The palate is full-bodied and complex. It reveals flavours of crushed cloves, raisin and blood orange, followed by layers of fragrant vanilla and leather. The finish is long and rich with smoky and spice notes.
