Arbikie is a newly established single estate distillery with some very long whisky making roots. According to the records, there was a distillery on the land way back in 1794, and the current day distillery is driven by those field-to-bottle traditions. Shying away from the type of processes that large spirit companies employ which prioritise volume over quality, the Arbikie stills are right next to the fields in a renovated cattle barn. Arbikie Highland Rye 2021 revives the old tradition of Highland rye whisky, being the first rye Scotch whisky in over 100 years! This range was launched in 2018 and a new bottle is released annually. The 2021 release is made from Arantes Scottish Rye, Viscount Scottish Wheat and Odyssey Scottish Malted Barley. The nose has cloves, tobacco, leather and a little black pepper. On the palate you’ll find honey, biscuit, licorice and nutmeg while the finish is chocolatey with the clove returning alongside ginger.

Safe packing
