The Scottish Isle of Arran was once home to over fifty illicit whisky distilleries. When the only legal distillery closed in 1837, the island remained whiskyless for more than 150 years. In 1994 the Arran Distillery was established, finally bringing whisky back to the island. Arran 25 Years Old is the newest addition to the distillery’s core range. It will be released in limited quantities each year. This is the very first 25-year-old Arran release, which includes some of the distillery’s first production from 1995. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and is bottled at 46%. Only 3000 bottles of Arran 25 Years Old were released in November 2020. The bottle comes in a beautiful wooden box.
