Arran 8 Years Old Private Cask For The Netherlands 2014 Cask #1465 is a single cask edition from Arran, specially selected by and bottled for Dutch importer van Wees. The single malt was distilled on 13 May 2014 and matured for 8 years in a sherry hogshead. It was bottled on 11 April 2023 at 60.2%. The Isle of Arran was once home to over fifty illicit whisky distilleries. When the only legal distillery closed in 1837, the island remained whiskyless for over 150 years. Harold Currie founded the Arran distillery in 1993, and the tradition of whisky distillation was finally brought back to the island. One of 315 bottles.
