It was distilled in September 2008 and matured for 12 years in Sherry Hogshead #101. The whisky was bottled in October 2020 at 53.2% for Meadowside Blending’s The Maltman range. Only 352 bottles of Aultmore 12 Years Old The Maltman 2008 Cask 101 have been released. Aultmore is a relatively unknown distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland. It was founded in 1897 by Alexander Edward, who previously ran the Benrinnes distillery. For years Aultmore’s whisky was solely used for blends. It only recently started being released as a single malt, earning it the nickname ‘the rarest of Speyside’.
