For over 125 years, Gordon & MacPhail has been bottling premium quality Scotch whiskies. The Connoisseurs Choice range features single malts from a large number of distilleries. It was introduced in 1968, at a time when many distilleries had never been bottled as a single malt before. This Balblair single malt was distilled in 1964 and matured for 15 years. It was bottled in 1979 at 70 proof, aka 40% ABV — this is one of the last Scotch bottles that still carries a proof statement instead of an ABV. On 1 January 1980, the UK switched from the obsolete proof system to ABV.

Safe packing
Your purchase is safe with us. We use strong boxes that are specifically designed for bottle transport. Fragile gift boxes are packed separately from the bottles and we use thick wrapping material. When we’re done packing your order, it might be bomb proof. We won't test that, just saying.
