These high proof 3-year-old Balcones single malts were created for the annual Whisky Tasting Festival in Utrecht, aka the coolest friggin’ whisky festival in The Netherlands! And we’re not just saying that because we help organize it since its first edition in 2016. Last year, WTF was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, just like the bottles say, you don’t need an awesome festival to have an awesome single malt whisky! The first bottle in this set commemorates the whisky festival that never happened, and the second looks forward to the Whisky Tasting Festival of September 2021. Balcones is an up-and-coming craft whisky distillery in Waco, Texas. It was founded in 2008 by Chip Tate. The distillery produces authentic American Single Malt Whisky (indeed, speled without the ‘e’). This set contains two 0.7L bottles.
