The Balvenie distillery pioneered the concept of cask finishing. Malt Master David C. Stewart developed the now widely used process in the 1980s, and the first cask finished single malt was introduced in 1983. Balvenie 21 Years Old Madeira Cask first aged for over two decades in traditional whisky casks, lending familiar oak, honey and vanilla flavours. A finish in Madeira wine casks has added luscious layers of exotic fruits and spices.

Safe packing
