Baron Gaston Legrand produces its renowned armagnac from a single distillation of dry white wine, with grapes from the terrier of Ténarèze. This age-old drink was originally used as a kind of medicine and was written about by Prior Vital du Four in his little book called the 40 virtues. The good Prior saw himself as a bit of a health and wellness coach back in the day, and was telling everyone who would listen that armagnac would cure disease, improve your memory and keep you young. In truth, he probably just loved a drink and armagnac is the finest of the fine. Baron Gaston Legrand Bas-Armagnac 1972-2022 is a beautiful, long aged armagnac with a nose of dried fig, vanilla and spices. The palate displays dried fruits, dark chocolate, rancio, old oak and nutmeg.
