Barrell Rye Batch 001 is the first rye whiskey release from the Kentucky-based independent bottler and blender Barrell Craft Spirits. Sourced from undisclosed distilleries in Indiana and Tennessee, the rye matured for 4,5 years in American White Oak casks. It was bottled in July 2017 at a cask strength of 117 proof (58.5%). Barrell Craft Spirits is located in Louisville, Kentucky. Unlike many other independent bottlers, Barrell sources its whiskey from a large variety of distilleries in several different states. All their small batch releases are unique, and each bottle is hand-numbered.
