Ben Nevis 10 Years Old Ingelred 2010 is a single cask malt from Ben Nevis, bottled in Scotland by Blackadder for the Swedish brand Ingelred. The whisky matured for 10 years in an American oak cask that previously held Californian red wine, an unconventional cask type for full maturation, but one with an amazing result if you ask us! It was bottled in November 2020 at 59.9%. The whisky is rich and fruity, with candied orange zest, clove and overripe banana on the nose, and hints of honey, caramel, allspice and chocolate milk on the palate. Ingelred Whisky is named after a legendary 10th-century Viking sword, with the name ‘INGELRED’ engraved on the blade. The company specializes in uniquely matured whisky, bringing together the craftsmanship of Scotch whisky distilleries with Nordic innovation. Only 305 bottles of Ben Nevis 10 Years Old Ingelred 2010 have been released.
