It has a floral and fragrant nose with aromas of honey, citrus fruits, beeswax, toffee and vanilla. On the palate, initial spicy notes lead to layers of cereal and smooth dark chocolate. The Ben Nevis distillery is located at the base of—and is named after—the highest mountain in the British Isles. The distillery consequently has the highest water source in Scotland, using pure mountain water from the Allt a’Mhuilinn stream, which originates from two pools on Ben Nevis.
