An older bottling of 10-year-old Ben Nevis single malt, complete with vintage label and original tube. The Ben Nevis distillery was founded in 1825 by Angus McDonnell, and was taken over a couple of years later by ‘Long John’ McDonald. He got this nickname thanks to his extraordinary height: 1.93m (or 6’4). Quite a feat in the early 19th century! After his death in 1856, the distillery came into the hands of his son, Donald McDonald. Under his leadership the Ben Nevis distillery became a giant in the whisky world (pun intended).
