Refill hogshead #1315 was laid down in October 1996 and aged for 23 years. The cask yielded 260 bottles at cask strength in December 2019. Ben Nevis 23 Years Old The Whisky Jury 1996 Cask #1315 has a fresh and fruity nose full of tropical fruits, vanilla, honey, citrus and a hint of chalk. The palate is sweet and fruity with a creamy and waxy texture. Delicious notes of tropical fruits mix with vanilla, citrus, soft butter, honey, fresh mint and pepper. The finish is long and waxy with hints of tropical fruits, vanilla cake, mint, pepper and dry wood.
