Up until 2004, Benriach rarely released its whisky as a single malt. This all changed when Billy Walker took over and introduced a whole new portfolio of Benriach whiskies. And on top of that, we still get to enjoy independent bottlings of Benriach, like this one from Ian Macleod! Benriach 18 Years Old Chieftain’s Meursault F.Garaudet Wine Finish 1997 was distilled in October 1997 and matured for a total of 18 years. After being finished in a cask that previously held Meursault F.Garaudet wine, it was bottled in June 2016 at 47% ABV. One of 638 bottles.
