Benrinnes 23 Years Old Diageo Special Releases 2009 is a limited-edition Speyside single malt from Benrinnes, bottled for Diageo’s highly anticipated Special Releases. The whisky was distilled in 1985 and matured for 23 years in sherry casks. It was bottled in 2009 at a natural cask strength of 58.8%. Partial triple distillation and the use of a traditional worm tub to cool the spirit help bring out its considerable character, which is further developed by ageing in sherry wood. Muscular and lightly smoky, Benrinnes 23 Years Old Diageo Special Releases 2009 is big and full-bodied with concentrated sweetness, superb balance and an exceptionally long, dry and warming finish.
