Please note: the wax of this Blanton’s Silver from 2002 is not pristine
Blanton’s Silver is an elusive edition of the highly-popular Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon. It was introduced in the early 2000s as a travel retail exclusive, and has since been discontinued. This one even comes in the silver octagon box! The iconic horse and jockey stoppers are a hallmark of Blanton’s. They are a tribute to the rich tradition of horse racing in Kentucky, which parallels that of bourbon. Since 1999, eight different stoppers are produced, showing the horse and jockey in a smooth motion from starting position to winning the Kentucky Derby gloriously. Fun fact: each stopper features a letter on its base. If you collect them all, they spell out BLANTON’S! Anyone out there that was able to collect all Silver stoppers?
