What has a shiny, golden horse stopper, a bright red label and really, really good bourbon inside? That’s right, the Blanton’s Single Barrel #453! It was bottled in 2020 for the French Connection Series by La Maison Du Whisky (LMDW). A very limited Blanton’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon, bottled at 110 proof or 55% ABV. Only 210 bottles came out of barrel #453, so you can take ‘limited’ very literally. La Maison Du Whisky releases a special Blanton’s every year. For this year’s event, they got 4 different barrels that got bottled at different proofs:

  • Barrel #452 LMDW 2020, bottled at 100 proof, limited to 210 bottles
  • Barrel #453 LMDW 2020, bottled at 110 proof, limited to 210 bottles
  • Barrel #454 LMDW 2020, bottled at 120 proof, limited to 210 bottles
  • Barrel #455 LMDW 2020, bottled at 124 proof, limited to 200 bottles
