Bowmore 25 Years Old The Whisky Baron 1997 is a single cask Bowmore whisky released by independent bottler The Whisky Baron as part of the Export Label series, aimed at the international market. The single malt was distilled on 12 March 1997 and matured for 25 years in hogshead #156030. It was bottled on 12 May 2022 at a cask strength of 47.7%. The nose offers aromas of rich, warm smoke and sea spray. Rich, medicinal peat on the palate is complemented by notes of bonfire smoke, juicy melons and a subtle vanilla sweetness. On the finish, the smoke dissipates into a dry, sooty note with hints of bonfire embers, sea spray and salted caramel. Just 134 individually numbered bottles have been released.
