Here we have a 12-year-old single malt from Islay’s oldest distillery, Bowmore. It comes in the iconic brown dumpy bottle with gold label that the distillery used in the 1970s and 80s. The label refers to the distillery as ‘Morrison’s Bowmore Distillery’, meaning it was bottled before Suntory took over the company in 1989. This 12-year-old Bowmore single malt was bottled in the early 1980s. Back in the 70s, when this whisky was distilled, Bowmore had a more tropical and coastal style than it does today. This dumpy bottle full of Bowmore Islay Single Malt is a rare and highly-collectible find, as well as a superb example of a classic era Bowmore whisky!
