This 24 year old Braeval 1994 matured in a bourbon barrel, before it was bottled by Taiwanese bottling company Spirits Shop’ Selection. It’s a sweet single malt, with notes of honey, caramelised apples and biscuits. Breaval was known as Braes of Glenlivet until 1994, but they changed their name for obvious reasons. All of the labels by Spirits Shop’ Selection depict art created by Asian artist. The Taiwanese whisky brand was set up by Eric Huang, one of the foremost whisky experts in Asia and a great whisky collector on top of that. He is a judge in the World Whisky Awards and is chairman of the Taiwan and Hong Kong Single Malt Whisky Association.
