Brora, a.k.a. the original Clynelish distillery, was founded in 1819 and got its current name when the new Clynelish distillery opened in 1968. Rare single malt from this closed distillery has been included in Diageo’s annual Special Releases since 2002. Brora 35 Years Old 12th Release 2013 was distilled in 1977 and matured for 35 years in refill American and European oak casks. It was bottled in 2013 at a natural cask strength of 49.9%, and saw a limited release of 2944 bottles.
