Bruichladdich Old Skool

Since its reopening in 2001, Bruichladdich has been strengthening the connection between Islay’s land, community and whisky. The commemorative Bruichladdich Old Skool, released to celebrate 25 years of Islay-centric whisky making, pays tribute to the distillery’s Islay farming partners. This 10-year-old single malt has been distilled using barley that was grown and harvested on 14 Islay farms. It matured primarily in selected first-fill bourbon casks, joined by a small parcel of first-fill Sauternes white wine casks, and is bottled at 50%. Bruichladdich Old Skool features a retro label inspired by Bruichladdich labels of the 1980s and pays homage to Bruichladdich’s classic house style with a vibrant medley of stone fruits, soft barley sugar and stewed pears.
