In May 2001, the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay finally reopened after having been closed since January 1995. Bruichladdich Resurrection Dram 2001 is a commemorative limited-edition release that celebrates the distillery’s reopening. It is a bottling of some of the first spirit produced at the revived Bruichladdich distillery. The lightly peated single malt was distilled on 23 October 2001, and matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks. It was bottled in 2008 at 46%.
