A limited-edition single malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery on Islay. Bunnahabhain 1986 New Acquaintance was released at the end of 2020 to celebrate the new year. The whisky matured for 34 years in Oloroso sherry and American oak casks and has been bottled at 41.5% ABV. The bottle comes with a unique Bunnahabhain satchel and a 3cl sample bottle. Bunnahabhain is one of the nine active distilleries on Islay. It was founded in 1881 by William Robertson together with the brothers William and James Greenlees. Bun na h-Abhainne is Gaelic for ‘foot of the river’, referring to the Margadale Spring from which the distillery sources its water. Only 650 bottles of Bunnahabhain 1986 New Acquaintance have been released.
