Bushmills 8 Years Old Causeway Collection 2011 is a limited-edition single malt from the Bushmills distillery in Ireland. The whiskey was triple distilled on 1 March 2011 and first matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks for 6 years. It was then finished for 2 years in casks that previously held Banyuls dessert wine, and bottled in 2020 at a cask strength of 53.2%. The Causeway Collection is inspired by The Giant’s Causeway, a natural phenomenon in Northern Ireland that was created after a volcanic eruption more than 50 million years ago. According to folklore, the causeway was built by the giant Fionn mac Cumhaill.
