This 54-year-old Grosperrin cognac was distilled in 1965 and bottled in 2019 by Swiss independent bottler C. Dully. The code on the label, A54 D65, does indeed stand for the distillation year and the age, but due to the strict regulations for cognac labels, the bottler wasn’t able to state this information outright. Grosperrin is a cognac producer in the Borderies region, the smallest of the six crus. The company was founded in 1999 by Jean Grosperrin, who had many years of experience in the wine industry before he started to bottle his own casks. After Jean retired in 2004, his son Guilhem Grosperrin took over. Only 524 bottles of C. Dully Cognac Borderies D65 A54 have been released.
