Campbeltown Blend 8 Years Old TBWC Batch 4 is a limited-edition Campbeltown blended malt, created by eccentric indie bottler That Boutique-y Whisky Company for the End of the World series. With only three distilleries in the once-booming whisky town, you’ll quickly be able to establish what malts are in this teaspooned blend. The whisky was finished in a first-fill bourbon barrel to give it a little more depth, and is bottled at 52.3%. On the nose, a subtle, oily, maritime smoke leads to bright green apples, digestive biscuits, citrus zest, some black pepper and a herbal note. The palate is robust and full-bodied. Malty notes of barley and cereals lead to fallen apples and a gentle oily smokiness. Wood spices and raspberry linger on the finish. Only 454 bottles of the Campbeltown Blend 8 Years Old TBWC Batch 4 have been released.
