Chichibu 10 Years Old LMDW Foundations 2013 Cask #3079 is a rare Japanese single malt whisky from Chichibu. It was released as part of La Maison du Whisky’s Foundations collection, which highlights the architectural heritage of the spirit industry. Chichibu, founded by Ichiro Akuto, began production in February 2008. The distillery is located about 70 kilometres northwest of Tokyo. The local climate, with humid summers and cold winters, provides excellent conditions for maturing whisky. Chichibu 10 Years Old LMDW Foundations 2013 Cask #3079 matured for 10 years in a second-fill bourbon barrel and was bottled in 2024 at 64.4%. The single malt beams with maturity. Although predominantly sunny, the palette of flavours and aromas is nonetheless criss-crossed with irresistibly charming fruity, floral and spicy notes. One of 140 bottles.
