Classic Cask is a rather mysterious bourbon brand. It’s produced for Spirit Imports by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, the owners of the Willett distillery. Willett did not operate as a distillery between the early 1980s and 2012, but sourced whiskey from other distilleries to produce their brands. Their warehouses held barrels from all of the major Kentucky distilleries, so there’s no way of telling where this bourbon was distilled—either way, Classic Cask is a rare find and highly sought after by bourbon enthusiasts. This is Batch #GL-108, distilled in 1985 and bottled in 2002 at 90.8 proof. Only 600 bottles of Classic Cask 17 Years Old 1985 have been released.
