Clynelish 23 Years Old Signatory Vintage 1995 is a single cask malt from the Clynelish distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage for the Cask Strength Collection. The whisky was distilled on 21 November 1995 and matured in refill sherry butt #11236 for 23 years. It was bottled on 15 May 2019 at a cask strength of 57.7%. The Highland distillery Clynelish was founded in 1967. It was built next to the old Clynelish distillery, which it was meant to replace. The old Clynelish distillery (also known as Clynelish B) was renamed Brora and continued to operate in tandem with the new Clynelish distillery until it inevitably closed in 1983. The old Brora buildings are now used by Clynelish as a visitor center and warehouse. About 95% of Clynelish’s spirit is used in Johnnie Walker’s blends. Only 607 bottles of Clynelish 23 Years Old Signatory Vintage 1995 have been released.
