When a tornado swept over the Buffalo Trace grounds in 2006, it tore through the roof of the legendary Warehouse C, built by Colonel E. H. Taylor 100 years earlier. The barrels maturing on the top floors of the ricks were later blistered by the hot Kentucky sun. Years went by, repairs were made and these barrels were tasted. Taste and behold! The weather had done a great job! The whiskey was pretty darn tasty! Enter this Colonel E.H. Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving: a great marketing story and an even better bourbon. Bottled-in-bond at 100 proof. Tornado hunters are after this one, so we don’t expect it to last long.
