This stunning blended malt was created in 2021 by Compass Box to celebrate the 65th anniversary of La Maison du Whisky. The blend consists of malts from Old Pulteney, Caol Ila, Miltonduff and Ardbeg, aged between 17 and 26 years in recharred and refill American oak barrels and hogsheads. The name ‘Ethereal’ is a nod to Compass Box’ very first blended malt, Eleuthera. Compass Box Ethereal has aromas of tropical fruit and billowing smoke on the nose, followed by a creamy palate with notes of dried mango, toffee and powerful peatiness. Only 2430 bottles have been released.
