Step into a whisky time machine with Compass Box’ new Ultramarine blend! This reimagined expression is inspired by a deluxe blended Scotch from the late 1980s. The Extinct Blends Quartet series pays homage to whisky styles of the past. These blends in particular reflect the production methods and philosophies that prevailed in the Scotch industry during specific eras. Compass Box Ultramarine Extinct Blends Quartet’s sherried and smoky character is achieved by blending mature malts from the Caol Ila and Glendullan distilleries. The aged grains from the Cameronbridge and Girvan distilleries, and a medley of pre-blended stocks. It saw a limited release of 5430 bottles in August 2022.
