Cradle Mountain 24 Years Old Cadenhead is a single cask malt from The Small Concern Whisky Distillery in Tasmania, bottled by Cadenhead for their World Whiskies range. The whisky matured for 24 years in an ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barrel and was bottled in March 2021 at 52.7% ABV. Cradle Mountain, officially called The Small Concern Whisky Distillery, was founded in 1989 by Brian and Fay Poke, possibly making it the first distillery in Tasmania in the modern era. For over 150 years, there were no whisky distilleries in Tasmania due to legal and economic obstacles. The first new craft distilleries started to appear around 1990, and today Tasmania has over 20 distilleries. Only 180 bottles of Cradle Mountain 24 Years Old Cadenhead have been released.
