Signatory Vintage is one of the great success stories in the world of whisky over the last 30 years. Since it was founded in 1988, the company has become one of the most successful independent bottlers in Scotland. In the early days each bottle used to have the signature of a famous celebrity on the label, hence the ‘Signatory’ name. But this Craigellachie 11 Years Old Signatory Vintage 2009 comes from the Samurai Collection, a special group of bottlings each featuring a scary looking warrior on the label. And with an ABV of 59% this warrior packs a punch! The nose has notes of dark chocolate and pecans. The palate has flavours of dried plums and dates with a medium finish.
