Crown Of Kentucky Black Label 6 Years Old is a vintage bourbon, bottled by the Old Cummins Distillery in Bardstown and exported for the German market. The Old Cummins Distillery, more likely a brand than an actual distillery, was named in honor of Richard Cummins, an Irish immigrant who moved to the United States when he was 18 years old. In 1852, he opened a distillery in Illinois together with Henry McKenna. He moved to Kentucky six years later, where he played a crucial role in the development of the Kentucky liquor industry. The Old Cummins brand was revived after Prohibition, although no members of the Cummins family were involved in the company.
