Currach Single Malt Irish Whiskey is the very first whiskey to be finished in a seaweed-charred cask. Atlantic Kombu Seaweed Cask is the initial release in the Seaweed Cask series from Origin Spirits. The whiskey was triple distilled at West Cork Distillers before maturing in ex-bourbon casks. It then finished in Atlantic Kombu seaweed-charred casks for three months. To celebrate the creation of this unique whiskey, Origin Spirits has released the Founder’s Edition. A limited release of only 220 bottles, this whiskey is drawn from the first Currach cask laid down and was bottled in March 2020 at a cask strength of 60%.
