Dalmore’s Luminary Series pays tribute to exceptional luminaries from the worlds of whisky and architectural design. Created in partnership with Scotland’s design museum V&A Dundee, the distillery has released the Dalmore 15 Years Luminary No.1 2022. This first limited-edition release accompanies the ultra-rare Dalmore 48 Year Olds Luminary No. 1 Rare, of which only three bottles were produced. Dalmore 15 Years Luminary No.1 2022 first matured in American white oak. It was then finished in hand-selected Amarone red wine casks and bespoke virgin ’Kintsugi’ casks crafted from Scottish tay, Japanese oak and American white oak (a nod to the heritage of each Luminary). The nose is warming with aromas of rich fruits, panna cotta, honey roasted almonds and citrus oils.The palate brings layers of rich and uplifting citrus, chocolate, cherries, figs, brioche and moist ginger cake. On the finish, waves of dried fruits and honey entwine with balanced wood spice and cacao. The eye-catching presentation box, designed by Maurizio Mucciola, sports a geometric design to celebrate the relationship between whisky and nature and the importance of channelling potential with material components.
