Dalmore’s striking bottle design recalls one really cool Scottish legend. Way back in 1263, the King of Scotland popped up to visit the Mackenzie Clan chief for a bit of a chit chat. Since it was medieval times, this chit chat happened outside on horseback. As the two were riding, they accidentally disturbed a stag. The stag was very unimpressed, and charged straight at the King. Luckily Mackenzie was there to swoop in and save him, and the King was so grateful he gave the clan the right to use the 12 pointed Royal Stag on their coat of arms. Hundreds of years later, Mackenzie’s descendents became the owners of Dalmore and to celebrate their heritage they came up with the iconic stag bottle design. Dalmore 15 Years Old is from Dalmore’s Principal Collection and perfectly captures their house style. On the nose you’ll find sweet malt, orange, cinnamon, nutmeg and star anise. The palate has mandarin, vanilla, ginger, almonds and apples. The finish is long and spicy with orange and dark chocolate.
